How did Warroad Public School do on the MCA II?
Mathematics (grades 3-8 and 11) --Warroad Public Schools as a district met AYP requirements for the second year in a row. This is a wonderful accomplishment that we should be very proud of. This shows that progress is being made with our AYP Improvement plan and test scores are much better.
Reading (grades 3-8 and 10) --Warroad Public Schools as a district did not meet AYP requirements for the second year in a row. This means that we have been put on stage 1.1 of the AYP improvement process. We have developed our improvement plan for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years in hopes to soon meet the requirements for AYP in reading.
Grad Writing Requirements (grade 9) --Warroad Public Schools had 88% of their ninth graders pass the writing requirements for graduation. Implementing writing across the curriculum is a priority that the district has put into our improvement plan.
Grad Mathematics Requirements (grade 11) --Warroad Public Schools had 34% of their eleventh graders pass the math requirements for graduation. Implementing new math curriculum, math coaches, and best practices is a priority that the district has put into their improvement plan.
