Influenza-Like-Illness
This past week we have seen students with influenza-like-illness. Some of these students have tested positive for Influenza A. Influenza-like symptoms include a fever or 100 degrees F or higher AND a sore throat or cough. If your child has a fever AND a sore throat or cough, he or she needs to stay home for at least 24 hours after his or her fever is gone WITHOUT using a fever-reducing medication like Tylenol or ibuprofen. Other symptoms of influenza include a headache and sore muscles. If your child has any influenza-like symptoms, I encourage you to contact your health care provider.
Please notify the school if your child is diagnosed with Influenza, Influenza-like-Illness (ILI) or strep.
